Scope
This policy applies to the HSK WordFlow iOS app and this public privacy-policy page. HSK WordFlow is an independent learning tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by official HSK examination organisers.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the information needed to provide your learning experience inside its protected app container. This information is not uploaded to us.
- Learning plans, progress, review history, favourites, difficult words, and mastered words
- Game progress and best results
- Language, audio, and other app preferences
- Local profile fields and the avatar image you choose
Data collection, sharing, and tracking
We do not collect, transmit to our servers, sell, rent, or share personal data. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use advertising or analytics technology.
This privacy page uses no advertising, analytics, cookies, account system, or form submission.
Photos and local avatar
If you choose a profile photo, Apple’s system photo picker provides access only to the image you explicitly select. The app resizes that image and stores it locally in the app container. It is never uploaded by HSK WordFlow. You can remove it from the profile page at any time.
Network connections and Apple services
Core learning, handwriting, games, and audio work without an account or developer-operated server. When you manually select “Check for Updates,” the app sends its public bundle identifier and storefront region to Apple’s App Store lookup service and uses the response only to show whether a newer version is available.
App purchase, download, and payment processing are provided by Apple. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple handles its own data under Apple’s privacy policy.
Third-party components
The app uses SwiftyJSON for local data parsing and SSZipArchive for local audio-package extraction. These components are not used for advertising, analytics, identity, or tracking. No third-party SDK receives your learning data or profile information from the app.
Permissions and background audio
The app does not request access to contacts, location, camera, microphone, or tracking. The system photo picker is used instead of broad photo-library access. Background audio is used only for continuous listening and lock-screen playback controls.
Retention and deletion
Local learning data remains on your device while the app is installed. Removing a selected avatar deletes its local image. Deleting the app removes its local data from the device; a later reinstall starts with a new local profile. Because we do not operate an account server or collect this data, there is no remote personal-data record for us to delete.
Children’s privacy
HSK WordFlow does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults. Learning activity remains on the device. A parent or guardian can remove all local app data by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app functionality or legal requirements change. The revised page will show a new update date. If our data practices change, we will also update the App Store privacy disclosure before publishing the relevant app version.
